The only shop locally that feels like home per their cozy atmosphere. They aren't just a crew making your brew, they truly become family. LOVE the baristas, the owner is such an incredible gal, and the locals that frequent their chairs are just as lovely to chat with. Stop in for Mocha Mondays! Let them surprise you when you're unsure, they never disappoint. WiFi is strong, their merch is catchy, the interior decor is nice. The location is perfect, they're a 5 minutes walk from the beach. Don't forget to tip, they're worth it.
We shared a November sandwich (Thanksgiving leftovers) and a bowl of soup. Really substantial as seen in my photo. Amazing service considering a line backed up to the door and the drive through backed around the building. Fresh and hot.
On 5/13/21 My daughter and I were driving around and came across Auntie Irene’s Expresso, Pastries and Gourmet Ice cream shop. The shop had many seating options; Kids corner. Small nooks. The interior decor and design is atheistically pleasing. We chose the exterior seating with a view under the sun It was not busy during this time. Only one customer ahead of us. We had already eaten lunch so we decided on ice cream dessert. I got the Almond Fudge on waffle cone. My daughter got the Maple Pecan on waffle cone. They were so yummy! We definitely will return to try other sandwich and pastries options they offer.
This coffee and sandwiches here were great and their gluten free bread was wonderful (some of the best I’ve had) and they don’t charge extra for it! I had the BLT and tuna sandwich and they were both delicious. (Not sure about cross-contamination so be sure ask if that’s a concern for you). Gluten free bread is small but they will make you 2 sandwichs if you order a full or 1 if you order a half. I was very impressed and will definitely be back!
The coffee and ice cream were great!! Lots of syrup options and ice cream options. It did take awhile to get two iced coffees as they were more focused on serving ice cream to more customers. Drive through existed but was pretty slow too.
During our visit to family in Kent, WA, we decided to have a ladies’ brunch at Auntie Irene’s Coffee Shop in Des Moines, WA, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Before heading over, we glanced at the menu and found a variety of appealing options, which set our expectations high. Thankfully, Auntie Irene’s delivered on all fronts—coffee, food, and even ice cream. The baristas and cashiers were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. They were especially accommodating when it came to making vegetarian adjustments to several menu items, which we truly appreciated. A special shoutout to Abbie and Angelina for their patience in answering all our questions and customizing our orders to perfection. The café’s ambiance was peaceful and inviting, with a range of seating options to suit different preferences, whether you’re looking for a cozy corner or a spot to catch up with friends.
